“UNESCO World Heritage Cities In Cultural Routes” Panel

On the 38th World Heritage Commitee Meeting held in Qatar in 2014, Khans Area, Sultan Kulliyes and Cumalikizik Village were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality decided to organize various events on the week of 22nd of June and in 2015, first anniversary of Bursa’s inscription on World Heritage List was celebrated. 2nd anniversary will be celebrated with various events at the beginning of the week including 22nd June.

Events include “Certificate Ceremony for Participants of Budding and Prunning in Fruit Trees Courses”, “UNESCO World Heritage Bursa Day Celebrations”, “UNESCO World Heritage Cities in Cultural Routes” Panel and “Outstanding Universal Value of Bursa” Exhibition.

Within this scope, “UNESCO World Heritage Cities in Cultural Routes” panel will be held on 25th June, in Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center at 2.00-4.00 pm. Panel moderator will be Bursa Site Manager Prof. Dr. Neslihan DOSTOĞLU, and Esra KARATAŞ (ÇEKÜL) will present her statement named “Cultural Route Planning and Heritage Preservation in Turkey”, Umut ÖZDEMİR (Ministry of Culture and Tourism) will present his statement named “Silk Road Cultural Route”, Prof.Dr. Amir PASİC (IRCICA) will present his statement named “Turkey-Balkans Cultural Route” and Caroline FINKEL (Cultural Routes Assosication) will present her statement named “Evliya Çelebi Cultural Route”.
