He was born in Mustafakemalpa\u015fa (Bursa) on 06\/10\/1954.\u00a0He completed his elementary and secondary education in the same district. He graduated from \u00c7anakkale Teacher Training College in 1972. He served as a primary school teacher between 1972-1974. He passed the extra classes andgraduated from Bursa Boys’ High School in 1974. He graduated from Department of Economics at Bursa Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy in 1978. He started working as an assistant in the same department on 18\/04\/1979.\u00a0He became \u201cDoctor of Economics\u201d on 06\/13\/1985 with his thesis titles “Economic Analysis of Traffic Jam and Pricing of Urban Road”. He became Assistant Professor at Urbanization and Environmental Problems Department,Uluda\u011f University in 1988; became Associate Professor in 1989at same department with his associate professorship study titled “Environmental Pollution Control Policy and Policy Instruments”, and he was appointed as Professor in 1995.<\/p>\n

In addition to the numerous published articles about city and surrounding areas,Prof.Dr. \u00a0 Ert\u00fcrk, has five books published in the same field.<\/p>\n
