What are our responsibilities as responsible individuals?

There are certain issues where people who live and/or work in heritage sites need to take responsibility. Most important of these issues is that people should be aware of the historical structures in the areas they live in, learn about their historical specialties, and recognize that these were delivered from generation to generation as heritage for centuries. Preserving the tangible and intangible heritage on sites, maintain them in a sustainable way, being sensitive about environment, and making attempts to protect the historical sites should be everyone’s duty.

Historical structure gains even more value with lifestyle of people living there. Interrelations between dwellers of the site and artisans and tradesmen working in the area, ahi culture, neighbourhoods around the complexes surviving with their genuine names and neighbour relations are all very important and do matter for Inns Area and Sultan Complexes.

The fact that local villagers of Cumalıkızık going on living in their traditional lifestyle for centuries, is a priceless cultural asset as well.

It is essential to submit all suggestions and complaints regarding all types of activities, applications and practices in and around heritage sites to Bursa Site Management.
