Within the scope of the 10th anniversary of the declaration of Bursa as a World Heritage Site, ‘Bursa’s 10th Year on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Different Experiences, Common Responsibilities Panel’ (7 June 2024, Tayyare Cultural Centre) and ’The Five Unities of Uludağ: Bursa Kızık Villages Panel’ (8 June 2024, Cumalıkızık).
On 7 June 2024, ‘Bursa’s Living UNESCO World Heritage Sites: 10th Year through the Lens’ exhibition was organised. Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mehmet YILDIZ, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Dr. Kamil ÖZER, UNESCO Bursa Site President Prof. Dr. Neslihan DOSTOĞLU, academicians, students and citizens attended the panel held after the exhibition.
After the opening speeches, ‘Bursa’s Living UNESCO World Heritage Sites: 10th Year Through the Lens’ exhibition, the awards were given to the winning university students by Deputy Secretary General Mehmet YILDIZ, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Dr. Kamil ÖZER, Dean of Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Architecture Tülin VURAL ARSLAN and Dean of Bursa Technical University Faculty of Architecture and Design Gül SAYAN ATANUR.
Following the awarding of the awards, the panel on ‘Bursa’s 10th Year in the UNESCO World Heritage List’ moderated by Prof. Dr. Can BİNAN: Different Experiences, Common Responsibilities’ panel was held. In the panel where UNESCO Bursa Site President Prof. Dr. Neslihan DOSTOĞLU, Istanbul Site President Mustafa TURAL, Nemrut Site President Onur YILDIZ and Bergama Site President Dr. Emre ATABERK were the speakers, the speakers who shared their experiences presented examples from their own fields and the works in Turkey.
On 8 June 2024, a panel discussion was held in Cumalıkızık with the theme ‘The Five Unities of Uludağ: Bursa Kızık Villages’ in Cumalıkızık. In the panel moderated by İzzet GÜNGÖR, President of Historical Bursa Kızıklar Culture, Solidarity and Solidarity Association, Bursa Area President Prof. Dr. Neslihan DOSTOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Mefail HIZLI, Prof. Dr. Cevriye MERT and High City Planner Urban Conservation and Planning Specialist Aysun ÜNAL AYAS took part as speakers.
