“PROCESS AND EXAMPLES FOR WORLD HERITAGE NOMINATION IN TURKEY” PANEL HELD BY ICOMOS TURKEY

ICOMOS Turkish National Commitee 2015 Regular General Assembly was held in İTU Taşkışla on 28th November. After General Assembly, public panel was held. Moderator of the panel titled “Process And Examples For World Heritage Nomination In Turkey” was Prof. Dr. Can Binan, and participants were Doç. Dr. Nevra Ertürk (UNESCO Turkish National Commission Tangible Heritage Commitee Chairperson) with “Processes” topic, Dr. A. Ege Yıldırım (Freelance Preservation Planner) with “Mudurnu” example and Master Architect Ayten Başdemir (Bursa Metropolitan Municipality) with “İznik” example. Master Architect Ayten Başdemir drew attention to İznik, inscribed on UNESCO Tentative World Heritage List, with her “Evaluation Of İznik Process On the Basis of Bursa Experience’. Prof.Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, Bursa Site Manager, was also in the panel. After panel ended, viewers asked questions to the participants. KONTROL ET
